I've got two apps for cats on my iPad as well. I'm the only one who plays them. Raiden looks at the screen like it's crazy! Raiden is only interested in the end of the wand -- not the end with the toy, the other end. If you swish it around on the carpet, he goes nuts! He has balls -- some light up, some don't. He has catnip mice. He has interactive toys with balls. He has Da Bird, Neko dragonfly, crinkly balls that make noise, ping pong balls (I've never known a cat to turn those down). He wants nothing to do with them. I can use the laser light for about 10 seconds until he realizes he can't catch the light. Raiden loves to play and we have several seasons a day, but swishing a wand around is not my idea of fun! I even have that electronic thing with a wand. He will step on it and stop it and walk away! I've spent money on cat toys that he's never even looked at.
I chalk it up to the fact this his previous owner for 6 years never played with him. Now Raiden will chase a baby squirrel or catch a bird or mouse that it in his enclosure. But I bought a battery operated mouse that moves on its own and Raiden is not interested.
