Welp, I didn't get anything done today, haha. We brought our little guy (named Orion) home today, and we couldn't be more in love with him. He will be 12 weeks old on Wednesday. He is wonderfully playful, confident, and settlling in just great...never once was he overwhelmed actually! I was pretty surprised, I've never had a cat adapt this quickly to his new home. He bonded with us immediately on the car ride home (about an hour), and comes right out every time we come into his room. Our other kitty Apollo (3 yrs) is slightly annoyed at the thought of there being another kitty in his territory right now, but waiting to meet his new brother. The cutest thing I've seen from Orion so far is his little squawky lion cub roar. Omg so cute! Here are some pictures from his first day! We just adore him...little cutie!

Why didn't you post more pictures? LOL. Oh he is a sweetie. How can you not love that little guy? Congratulations!!! I'm happy to hear he's settled in well -- thanks to your breeder, I'm sure!!! Apollo and Orion should become great friends at some point! Hope your swapping scents right now. Orion has gorgeous coloring!!!

Sherry, haha I know I couldn't pick! he is so much tinier in person than he looks in his pics!

He was pretty chill (with playful bouts of course) throughout the day. Bedtime though was a different story, and he was determined not to let me sleep! He kept trying to suckle my eyes, nose or lips throughout the night! I'm also realizing he is a biter, and Its been a long time since I've had a biting kitten, Apollo was very gentle. Once he's been with me for about 3 min, he gets into playful attack kitten mode and is all teeth and claws on my hands. Or feet. Or arms. Baby, I'm not your litter mate! Gonna have to work hard to curb that quickly!

He is ready to get out of that darn room!

The funniest thing is his reaction to his own reflection in the mirror. We have mirrored closet doors, and he is constantly fluffing his tail up at it. Sometimes he charges it. But it always catches him off guard. Hahahaha. Apollo did that for about a day, then figured out its not actually another cat. I wonder how long Orion is going to do this!

It was a fun day. Not the funnest night.

Here are some updated pics of Orion (and a couple of Apollo too!)... He is now 15 weeks old! Orion follows Apollo around like a little puppy, it is the cutest thing. Apollo likes having him around, most of the time. Most likely wherever Apollo is, Orion is, he's even learned to sleep in Apollo's spot under the bed.

(sorry about the watermarks on the pics, they are from his instagram account...)

Thanks guys! We are dying to know what color Orion's eyes will turn out to be! Any ideas?

Why Orion?

Hi Jim, well we kinda have a greek mythology theme going in our house haha... in the past we started with Castor and Pollux (gemini twins), then we added Athena. Then Apollo, and now Orion. We considered Morpheus, but thought it would be considered more for the Matrix than Greek Mythology. Plus Orion is just easier to say!

Sherry, I've seen at least two doppelgangers for Apollo on Instagram, they literally look like long lost twins! I used to think Apollo was very unique looking, but I'm starting to realize that's actually not the case...
