All went well....glad that's over with! The doc seems to think she has irritated gums, maybe due to her baby teeth being replaced by her adult teeth. She gave me Oxy Pet Oral Hygiene Solution to put in her water and I should bring her back in 6 months. After I took her Friday morning, my other cat was looking all over the house for her and I found that so sad. But then he seemed to be relieved and happy she was gone! He was more affectionate, slept with me (he never does that), purred constantly, greeted people who entered my house, and seemed overall happier without her. Yesterday I brought her home from the vet and naturally he hissed at her a few times because she smelled like the vet's office. So I rubbed dryer sheets on both of them and things settled down. But now, he does not seem as happy as he did when she was gone. Although they are wrestling (a little bit too roughly and I have to break it up) and she won't leave his side, he seems annoyed. He's not purring. He's not following me around. He did not sleep on my bed last night. He seems distracted and jumpy. Here I thought I was doing the right thing getting a playmate for him. Maybe he likes it better alone! Well, too late now. (((((sigh)))))
