I currently use worlds best cat litter which is flushable. People have told me when they walk in a litter box smell doesn't stand out often but I think I can still smell it. I keep it pretty clean. Scoop both at least once a day but often 2-3 times a day. I would love to dump it more often then I do but worlds best is $25 a bag (28 pounds) I do dump often & it never gets bad but I'd love to dump more often even. I want something that clumps well which Worlds best does & controls odor. Any suggestions or just stick with my current? Sister suggested I dump a 1/2 box of baking soda in with each change. The smell isn't bad at all but just want it clean smelling as possible!

I use Cat's Pride clumping kitty litter and I have a Litter Genie, which holds the waste. There is no smell at all in my small utility room. The only time I smell anything is right after Raiden poops and when I am cutting the bag to put it out in the garbage. My husband has a nose on him ... and he can't even smell that we have a litter box in the house. I only change out the entire litter box once a month.

I used World's best Cat litter for about 6 months. It is expensive. I thought it was just okay at masking the cat's waste odors, but it had a strong odor of its own that I didn't love. It clumped okay, but I decided to try a different litter because I thought it might be the cause of my cats itching (it wasn't). I switched to Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Ultra Premium Clumping Cat Litter. There is virtually no cat waste odor and it clumps really well. Best of all, it is only $15 for a 40 pound bag on Amazon. It is clay so it is rather heavy. I get it delivered and just drag the box in my front door and push it into the laundry room. My cats like this litter better too. I did a side by side test and they stopped using the box with the World's Best Cat Litter and opted for Dr. Elsey's. The Litter Genie is amazing, Sherry is right. Best invention!

Personally myself I didn't like world's best because of the odor. I used it for several months until Jasper started going outside of the box and BB started using it with her head hanging out. Like you I scoop every morning and sometimes at night as well and it would still smell. I use Tidy Cat now and while it's dusty and I don't like that, it keeps the smell down. I find if I scoop everyday and completely clean out the box and change litter every week or two it's good.

Thanks! I keep it so clean so was a bit surprised that it smells. This litter is expensive & highly recommended so I was expecting it to work better. Was not sure if that was just as good as it would get. Ordered the bag that was recommended on Amazon. Even a day after fully dumping it I was surprised by the smell!

Yeah mine was really bad too and I am really picky about how clean their boxes are. I thought for the longest it was just how strong male cats urine is but that wasn't it. Everyone I have talked to about the litter loves because it's "natutal" but I don't see how they could tolerate the smell! It's worse than using pine pellets!

I use pine pellets. Mild odour and no tracking of litter for the most part. Although she does shovel them out of her box from time to time.

Raiden has a litter tracking problem, but his box is on a black trash bag that holds a lot of it and I have a portable vacuum that I use to get the rest of it. Actually, I really need a much larger litter box for him. I've had this one for over 25 years.

I use worlds best litter.. I like it and never smell odour from it at all. Not sure if it's different in the UK though.

I do buy the red bag which is extra strength... I find that is a bit better than normal one. They also do a Lavender scented one which masked wee extremely well but the lavender smell gave me headache so!

I get through a lot of litter as I breed, it's important to me that the litter is biodegradable so I'm not adding to the worlds rubbish! Also, kittens always try to eat clay based litters!

I'll definitely check out the litter mat. I actually run the black trash bag up the wall because the litter box isn't very deep and Raiden sometimes sprays a little upward! At least that way, it doesn't get on the wall and it's easier to clean up.

I have tried a lot of cat litters, worlds best, to me does smell like a barn. Its the same reason I can't use the walnut litter or pine. It just stinks up my house. I tried crystals but since you cant scoop out the pee its like if you pee in the toilet without flushing until it overflows, gross. Everclean with charcoal is really good but it clumps really solidly and is a pain to scoop and its super dusty. Tidy cats for me doesn't clump good enough, but my oriental shorthair pees in the same corner constantly so when I scoop in the morning it just crumbles.

The litter breeze system was a waste of money for us.

Litter robot was another waste.

Cat genie was disgusting.

So it all came back to basics for us and I saw a youtuber using dr. Elseys. It's a pretty good and inexpensive litter, low dust, not scented and clumps really well. My OSH has been sneaking tastes of my new kittens food and her poops can clear a room but the dr. Elseys does a great job neutralizing the odor. I also keep a bag of scent absorbers by the box which helps.

Just my 2 cents.

With all the brands and types of cat litters, there is one that can suit everybody. I have never tried any other brand but Cat's Pride in Raiden's litter box. It is not totally dust-free, but I love the way the waste clumps and there is really no odor except right after he poops! Thankfully, that's only once a day. I clean out the waste as he uses the box. I can hear him trying to dig to China and then covering it up.

I use one called bio-catolet it's recycled paper, it looks like little paper pellets, there's no dust at all which I'm pleased about, it does not smell of anything and absorbes the wee really well, best one I've ever used
