My kitten Miloh (boy) is now 8months old and I also have a 1yr 2month old Mhia (girl). I have had Miloh for around 4months, and Mhia
has only just joined us around 2 weeks ago. They are both Bengals who are half brother and sister, the two get on along fine most of the time however,
there are occasions where Miloh does like to jump Mhia or provokes her by trying to "hug" her, or swipes her with his paw (NO claws). So this causes her to either hiss at him or
swipe back (again NO claws). Most of the time they eat with each other and choose to eat from the same bowl, drink from the same fountain and even insist on using the same litter box.

Just wondered how I can stop Miloh from provoking her. He always seems to do it when she isn't expecting anything. An example would be, if she is lying down in her bed, he will come from behind and jump her, if she is using the litter box..Miloh will follow watch her and then soon as she finished will jump her, and once he's got a reaction he will chase her until she takes a paw swipe at him and then he will stop (sometimes). Anyone have any ideas on what to do. I have tried everything, blocking Miloh from the litter box when she is in it, playing with them together with each of there favourite toy and even just the plain old taking Miloh away from Mhia. But he still chases her anyway.

They are still both very young. Bengals often play roughly together. Sounds like after the play fighting they are content buddies. Doesn't really sound like a problem. I would let them do their own thing.

Sounds like he is wanting to play and "testing the waters" so to speak. If she hisses all she is doing is say hey back off I'm not in the mood. They are still very new to one another so it may take a few more weeks for them to figure each other out. Give it more time and if it turns into true bullying you can start redirecting. For now I would let them work it out on their own.

When adult cats live together, there are often little mini disputes about territory and ownership of things. Also with bengals there are a lot of moments where one wants to play and the other does not. Mine have these same sorts of "moments". So I think it's something that you have to constantly monitor and evaluate as to whether it is becoming, or has become a problem. It's a perfectly normal thing for one cat to want to play, or want to sleep, or whatever, and the other to approach and try to share the space or start up a game, and then get denied by a paw to the face, and a hiss and/or growl. But what you don't want is for the two cats to start having more and more negative encounters to the point where they start to dislike one another, or associate each other with strictly negative things. So to counteract that, you may need to step in from time to time, stave off hostilities, reassure each cat that each is still equally loved, and then work to build back up some more positive associations between the two cats, with things like treats while they are together, or fun games while they are together, or adjacent "special" sleeping spots on a bed or window sill or whatever is highly desirable to them.

Things like that. It sounds to me from what you've said that things are fine between them right now, but I think continually assessing how they are doing together, and making little adjustments as needed is a good thing.

Mhia obviously isn't into Miloh's behavior. Each cat should have their own food and water bowls. I'm guessing they aren't trying to eat out of the same bowl together. Usually when a new kitty arrives, the other one goes, "hey, what's this new thing, new smell in my house." Make sure you have cat trees and other catification around your home giving each cat their own "territory." No dead ends around a litter box. There is a difference between "play aggression" and "fight aggression." If they are just playing, then Mhia isn't into that right now. She is still trying to get accustomed to her new environment. I'd give it some time. She needs to gain confidence in her new home. Don't just let them "duke" it out. Make sure you're playing with both of them. By that, I mean, you are on the other end of the toys and keeping the kitties occupied. Take the attention off the cats playing with each other. You're going to have to be involved in the solution. Hopefully, soon they will be best friends and adore each other.
