Hello! Im new to the forum, stumbling across it as I google searched some advice on introducing my Bengal to a new addition to the family who will be joining us in about 4 weeks time.
A little about me, I have always loved animals, growing up with them as a child, having cats and dogs and rabbits (even goldfish haha!) Now growing up, my grandma's always had Persians, my mother loves her Maine Coon's and my father has had his Russian blue. When I turned 19 (Now 21), I had saved up enough money (and after doing a lot of research and reading) decided to get myself a Bengal boy named Tommy. Hes a lovely boy, always has been and very well behaved. Hes a brown marble boy (initially I had gone to view his brother who was brown spotted, but fell in love with him!). He is now 2 years old (turned 2 in march) and even though he has grown up with my mothers Maine Coon Midnight hes very territorial. We have sadly lost Midnight and he is now the only cat in the house, don't get me wrong he is spoilt and loved and everything but he does sit in her bed and meow, oddly. His behaviour has gotten a lot better (maybe hes dealing with the loss?) but I decided a while ago I wanted another cat. Not too replace her in any way, never, just for company for myself and tommy. now after looking for a while I stumbled upon a very unique kitten, a charcoal Bengal. I went to view him, and he left his mark in my heart (yeh yeh cheesy I know). I put down a deposit for him, and pick him up in a month when hes 12 weeks old. His names Kai (it just felt right! haha) and hes a very bouncy eccentric little character. Now I spoke to the breeder and she has been very helpful in terms of introducing them, but any extra help and advice would be appreciated. I want them to get along, and hopefully they will, but only time will tell.
And heres pictures of them both (:
