Have just reserved a kitten for start of July! Ended up going with Gayzette from just outside Aberdeen, solid reputation from online research and having been out to visit and meet their cats and kittens got a good feeling from the breeder. Really knowledgeable and nice.

I went with an F6 Brown Marbled one, debating whether to take one of the brothers or sisters as a companion. Some photos below, can't wait to get the little guy home

All of those kitties are gorgeous! Congrats on the little guy! The best time to get two of them is NOW, especially if you can grab a sibling. Bengals are energetic and demand a lot of attention. Caring for two of them isn't that big a difference except for the multiple litter boxes and beds and toys. Your biggest expense will be vet bills for the two of them. Had I been all about bengals, I would have grabbed two kittens, but I got mine when he was 6 years old and it's a little late for a playmate for him. He's territorial and very aggressive toward other cats -- even females.

The little guy you've picked out is just gorgeous and I know you can't wait until July! Those lighter colored kittens are just stunning as well.

Oh the snows are gorgeous! I would snatch one of them up for sure. I have two SLP sisters and I can't imagine trying to keep one entertained on my own. They play constantly and get along well. They have had their issues while developing, but they keep each other company all day while I am at work. It may be challenging adding a second down the line.

Yes, get a snow Bengal too! They are so much fun to watch playing together!

Bet you cant wait to get your boy home - love Ralph and Oscar for names :) Sorry to hear about your other cat :( The same happened with me, had to put our 5 year old F3 to sleep last year as it was most likely he had a brain tumour and steroid treatment only delayed the inevitable by a few months. Horrible decision to make though, isnt it?

I think if money is tight, there would not be too many problems in taking your new boy in July, then get another in a few months?? I think this way, he can bond with you first and also if not waiting too long for a new addition, it should not be too difficult to introduce another. Depends how you look at it I suppose. Hope the next 2 months dont drag too long!

The wait for Harvey must be hard on you. July is a ways off yet! Just know that Harvey will demand much of your time. Well, almost all of it!!! LOL. Be prepared. They love to interact with others, and you will be that interaction. Play time is a must and to save your hands and feet, get lots of toys -- especially wand toys. You'll have to bengal-proof your home as well as they seem to get into everything. You have lots of time to prepare for the little guy. Congratulations.

Good luck in your new home. Hope Harvey won't be leaving the breeder too early. You had asked about GPS systems -- they do make them for pets. They used to be extremely bulky. I don't know if they have gotten slimmer. Once a cat gets out, they can also slip off. As long as your kitty is microchipped and you take safeguards that Harvey does not escape -- cat enclosures are a great way to allow him to experience the outdoors and be safe -- I wouldn't invest in a GPS system.

The one thing you might want to do is train him to walk on a harness and leash and take him for walks. This will allow him to get used to his environment around your home and neighborhood and should he ever escape, could find his way back home. The downside is that once a cat sniffs the outdoors, they want to return again and again, so that can be problematic. If Harvey can remain indoors and have safe access outdoors, that may be all he needs.
