This week was much more enjoyable -- but what is with people wanting to dress cats up? The lady is a lunatic. LOL. I did try to put a dress for my walking doll on our cat and my dad jumped all over me for it. The cat was none too cooperative either, but it was fun. I have also tried to give my cat a bath just because. That didn't go very well either. I was probably 10 years old at the time.

Okay I watched the right episode last night with the lady that dressed up her cats (meow-meow-meow-meow). The wedding was over the top. Also the chanting sound of that other couple would make me a little crazed if I was the kitty. Usually meditation or chanting calms a person down, but that woman wasn't too calm. Jackson hit the nail on the head when he said cats are energy sponges. When I meditate, I usually wind up with a cat passed out on my lap.

All-in-all, a very entertaining episode.

This week's was probably the best episode in a long time imo. The first one was a hostile cat who did really well with his owner, but not well with anyone else. The second one was this REAL fat cat who was being fed doughnuts and other human junk food.

At least these episodes seems to have an air of authenticity, and were interesting. The fat cat and the fat lady was somewhat difficult to watch, and I'm pretty sure that they are both going to slip into prior bad habits (she still doesn't get it imo). But it was still interesting. Also we got to see Jackson talk briefly about when he had a severe problem with weight. That part of his life was documented in his "Cat Daddy" book for those that haven't read it.

I really enjoyed this past Saturday's episode. It dealt with a real issue -- overweight cats and how dangerous it is for the kitty. Feeding a cat human junk food is truly bad for the kitty and I could not believe Elvis would not touch a treat! And he just laid around like a lug on a rug. Getting him for a walk was good, but we all know most cats on a harness will stop and smell everything. Still, it was helping Elvis lose the weight. Being 50% overweight is hard on a cat. No wonder he didn't want to move. I had hoped the "mother" would have understood more -- and she could lose weight right along with Elvis (I don't know that the picture of Jackson weighing 400 pounds was much help). How things continue once Jackson leaves the building ... who knows. I had a cat develop diabetes and I was giving her 2 insulin shots a day. Later, she developed kidney failure and it was sub-q fluids twice a day. She had been a little overweight at one point in her life, but not obese like Elvis!

Aggressive cat behavior can pretty much be solved if you give the cat enough space and territory. It's amazing how these people don't have a cat tree or window perch for the cats. And the other thing is how you approach petting a kitty. When you're scared the cat may attack, the cat senses that! I do think people can learn a lot from these episodes.

I agree that this last episode was more on track than the earlier episodes this season. It was good to see some real people getting help. That poor fat cat, I felt so bad for him. Hopefully they stuck with it and he's feeling better.

More of the really really odd episodes. A cat psychic and a colony of feral cats. I guess I'm not even smart enough to follow that second episode. What even happened there? LOL Jackson watched as an organization caught "mama cat" got her "fixed" and brought back, and then their house cat suddenly got better? And actually enjoys watching out the window as 20 cats are in their garden. And they established that some of the "colony" were not feral, but now it's "their colony" and they don't want to seek homes for the cats? And there were a whole ton of people greeting Jackson because they wanted his help rehoming the cats, but he didn't help them rehome the cats. And the lady's father is now happy for some reason with all that has happened and is thanking Jackson for all his help. Maybe I need help. HELP! I'm completely lost, I basically have no idea what that was even about after watching it :lol:

I will attempt to get through Saturday's episode today! I'm always running behind. I'm sure there are some Humans From Hell as well -- it's just funnier if it's My Cat From Hell -- as if it's the cat's fault and not the human's.

The cat psychic was lame - they really didn't even need to throw that into the episode at all.

I'm with you on the feral colony. It was very disjointed, that part alone could have been a whole episode and it would have made a lot more sense. I think the house cat was calmer because there were no longer males coming around for mama kitty so there was less spraying around the house.

I'll have to watch it tonight. I always wanted to go to a cat psychic in an attempt to find out how old my last cat was and why I was the only person she wanted to see her.

I also helped take care of a feral parking lot cat colony at my last job for 10 years. We TNR 20 cats over the years, not to mention feeding them every day.
