Welcome to the world of cats where they do not enjoy car trips!!!!! Seriously, I've NEVER had a cat who enjoyed being in a carrier in a car. I will say that when we moved from Florida to Tennessee, our kitty did settle down after about an hour of crying and went to sleep. Normally, a cat gets a car ride for vet visits only. They tell you to start taking the cat for short rides. Some cats will get used to it. Other than that, turn up the music!!! Trust me, your cat will be fine. Hopefully, exhausted after crying for four hours. Our vet is 2 miles down the road and I've had enough of Raiden's howling in those 5 minutes to last a lifetime! LOL. He'll even howl in the waiting room unless there's a large dog there as well. It's just the cat's nature to cry when they are not really happy! I do the same thing.
