Hi there I've purchased a show/breeding quality kitten from a breeder near me. I would love some expert opinions on her strengths and weaknesses. Her breeder has offered to mentor me should I decide to show and/or consider breeding in the future. However, I would still like to get some opinions on her. I would really appreciate your most honest thoughts!

She is spectacular, but there are a lot of criteria that is judged -- not just on beauty. The only way you're going to know if to take her to a few cat shows and see what the judges think. Most Bengals have championship blood in them .... some Supreme Grand Champions ..... but it doesn't necessarily carry on down. Raiden's grandfather was a Supreme Grand Champion by the age of one -- but the genes didn't carry over to Raiden, even though he was sold as a "show" cat. Yours may have everything she needs to start winning ribbons.

The best way to learn what show quality is is to go to a show and watch who wins! Talk to that cat's owner and find out WHY they won! Often, the judges will also tell you about the cats as they judge them, especially during finals!

She's lovely how exciting!

We had a red Burmese who was show quality he was absolutely stunning.

I always regret not showing him he would have been perfect for it because not only was he beautiful but he loved everyone and would have had the personality to match.

The breeder was wonderful and sold him to us at no extra charge despite his good looks!

Keep us up to date on how it all goes.

These are really old threads and I doubt the owners are still hanging around.
