All snipped, the boys were somewhat a little more hyper than usual for a day or so, but all is well in the awesome world! We now have a 5' xmas tree up, which is proving to be amusing. We also have 3 of 13 shelves up, with more going up tomorrow, so that should be good. Oh, and they have been munching on pinky rats yesterday.

Well, the boys got weighed tonight, it's been a while, but at the moment they are as follows

One week short of 8 months old:

Nyx & Sirius are 4.2kg (9lb 4oz)
Vega is 4.6kg (10lb 2oz)
Titan is 5.2kg (11lb 7oz)

Historically Titan has always been around 1kg heavier than Nyx, but Sirius has grown less over the last few months. Maybe he's due a growth spurt?

Titan is pretty solid though. He's the bruiser of the bunch, and instigates a fair few fights, normally with Vega, maybe because Vega is his closest competition? Although Nyx is the oh so innocent one, but does actually Instigate his fair share of trouble, but he's more sly about it. Pretty happy though, they seem to be growing nicely!

They're all good sized babies! If I remember correctly Diesel was about 9lbs at that age. He was 12.6 lbs at the vet last month and he is very solid, he doesn't look as heavy as he actually is.

Unless someone checks the box "notify me when a reply is posted," many members have long left this forum. We absolutely love updates -- and we will wait and see if the original poster comes back and gives us one.

Very true. The profile shows they last visited back in March. I would love to hear how things are going with the all of the kitties.

Oh, It's been a while.

Well, the 'boy's' are now registered with Canine Concern, as Comforting Cats, so we have been visiting a special needs school, and a dementia care home. The Boys love it as they get loads of treats and fuss.

Titan was unfortunate enough to have suffered a fractured hip, most likely from jumping 6 feet or so after his wand toy, but we also found out from the x-rays that one of his growth plates on the same joint hadn't grown at the same rate as his other bones. He has had his hip removed, and no, not replaced, the muscles will fill the void and and he will build up strength in the leg. His op was back in November, so he's doing really well now, and has gained loads of strength back, as well as his fur, which took well over 8 months to grow back. He's not as manic now, and doesn't start nearly as many fights as he used too, so he's a bit more mellow these days. Oh, I forgot, he also had Hydrotherapy, of which I have a couple of videos and photos, to help his leg gain strength.

They have had a 12x3 meter enclosure built in the back garden, with loads of cat trees and a pond (no fish aisde from a RoBo Fish and a Robo Squid) so they can go in or out as they please through the day.

I really can't remember what was happening last time I posted, so if I remember any more i'll post again, and try and get some photos up.

We love updates on all the kitties. I am so sorry to hear about Titan and his hip issue! I'm not sure how a cat walks without a hip joint. But, maybe they can and do. It's wonderful that they are socialized and settled enough to enjoy meeting strangers and giving them comfort! That's awesome. The enclosure sounds big and wonderful!

Thanks Sherry, Titan's doing very well now, he can walk, run, jump (but not as high) and even still climb trees! So he's made a very good recovery we think. We were told at the time that he would have about 95% use of that leg without the hip. He did get depressed, and picked on, but we did get him back to his usual self. It meant taking baby steps and praising/rewarding each bit of progress, but he gained confidence with every little 'win' and a couple of dreamies (treats), it was a long drawn out process, but he's no longer depressed, it was really quite obvious when he was. We persevered though, and all four boys are going about daily life as if nothing ever happened.

We have 4 as well. But 3 are meezers (Siamese) and one Bengal. You are insane!!! I don't know that I'd ever want 4 hybrids! Egads!

Lol, Thanks Lori! Well, we kind of figured if we have to change everything for one or two, we might as well make the most of it and have four. If you'd met them you'd see they are either always hyper and chasing each other, or they'd be sleeping because they'd be tired of chasing each other, or from the walks.
