Hmm, sounds a bit fishy! The cats in the pictures are beautiful and look quite exotic! Could be a backyard breeder looking for some Christmas money .. or it could be an outright scam. I've seen posts on here from people who paid for a cat and never got the cat! Beware!!! Know who you're dealing with. Hopefully, this particular Facebook comment will go nowhere on the web.

It never interested me in the slightest. I have a deposit on a kitten with a very reputable breeder i only liked the page because i enjoy looking at the beautifull cats on there. I asked if she was GCCF or TICA registered to which she replied no im not a breeder.

She is now telling me it is an F1 african serval kitten but if it is an F1 would that not make it a savannah kitten that is 1 generation down from an african serval cat i.e 1 parent an African serval kitten and 1 parent a domestic cat? She want $5500 for it

Yeah i knew I had seen those pics! This might sound crazy but I do exactly what you did all the time. I find these bogus ads and contact them and save the messages and then report it. GOOD FOR YOU for doing that! Some people have probably already fell for it!

If there's one thing I hate, it's a scammer.

Thing is up until about 2 months ago i had no idea about the breeding habits, F generations, BYB, scammers and thanks to this wonderful forum i have learned an abundance of knowledge. Its sad but i spend alot of time on sites like facebook and ebay exposing scammers, because i got done once and it is the worst feeling knowing you gave up hard earned money for something that seemed to good to be true. Basically just want to say well done to everyone on here it just goes to show how informing and helpful this firum is

It's not sad that you do that because I do too ;) I often find myself flagging ads on craigs list as well! It is one of those things that gets under my skin and I am not afraid the let the scammer or BYB know that they are horrible for doing what they do! I think it is up to us to educate not only ourselves but the people around us as well. I feel like if you see something wrong you should do something about it. Stand up for what is right and you will have a clear conscious about it!
