Thank you all for your replies. I wish something could be done by a Bengal group to influence the states of NC and VA to reconsider their policies re Bengals. It doesn't make sense, as most Bengals are at least F4's. If this policy is in practice in many of the states in the US, I would think that Bengals would be a lot less popular here. Frankly, if I had known this before I got my Bengal, I wouldn't have gotten one. I have taken her to the same vet for two years, and this is the first time he mentioned it. I love my Sasha Cat, and would never have her euthanized without a protest, but the worry just isn't worth it. As I have said in my first post, she has bitten me, but I'm not worried and would never report it. But there's the off-chance that she would bite someone else, if she were handled against her wishes.
