I realize the kids want me to play with them, but when they get into mad play zone where they are running all over and stalking things am I right to take myself out of the middle and leave the room? I play with them with their wand toy for quite some time, but I know they have a lot more energy than that. So they zoom around the room or they chew on my jeans and scratch at the belt loops. I figured it's better to get out of the situation before they start thinking it's ok to stalk me.

Any tips to handle this early on?

If they want to play amongst each other, that's great. Feel free to take yourself out of the picture. Just as long as you do spend time playing with each of them.

Well they want to bite my jeans. I learned to stop them from doing that. And yes, I'm loving spending time with them.

Never heard of a cat wanting to bite your jeans .... I'd carry a toy with me to distract them. I think my 7 year old has a ton of energy ... I could not imagine dealing with two kittens.

Lol. First time for everything I guess. My Bengal kids have stopped doing that. I've let them know that's not something they should do. It was mostly Jarvis. Pepper likes to climb legs. I've also managed to get under that.

So far I'm loving having them.

My boy Sunny jumps on my legs - I live in FL so wear shorts a lot and have taken to keeping a spray bottle of peroxide handy for the bloody scratches. How did you stop the jumping? It happens so fast...our girl Sylvia does not do that, thank God! I appreciate any ideas, thanks.

For Pepper I have to keep an eye on her and when she's liable to jump I tell her no and push her with one foot. She caught on fast that this isn't something I want. No kicking just a gentle nudge with the foot and a "no".
