Hi everyone,
I know it's been a while when i last posted...what to say, life is busy. In February i brought home my beautiful boy Bandit a brown marbled Bengal, hi is going to be 6 months old on June 3. He's been amazing, i love him to pieces. Since i work for myself, i am on my own schedule...i am there for my boy a lot. He learned so many tricks, he is actually knows how to ask for things he really wants...very smart boy.
He is on raw diet, i bring him outside a lot. Very soon our daddy is building a nice safe cat fence, with a beautiful water fountain and lots of plants to hide in, and some trees to climb on...than my babies are going to be able to go in and out safely without harness.
As i was falling in love with my baby boy, i decided to have a sibling for him. I didn't want to wait too long, i thought it will be easier to introduce two babies then an adult and a baby.
Maybe i was wrong, who knows...will see...
So, just a week ago we brought home little Foxy Lady a baby girl who is 12 weeks old brown rosetted bengal. The sweetest little baby girl...so tiny (just 2,lb) compared to Bandit who is exceptionally big for his age (8,5lb).
Foxy my little Tinkerbell was in my bedroom for 6 days now. I would put her in the bathroom and let Bandit to sniff around every day. The 4th and 5th day i put Foxy in the carrier and let Bandit sniff...and growl and hiss much less on the 5th day. The 6th day i decided to let Foxy meet Bandit freely in the room with our supervision...wow, she is fearless, wants to approach him, play with him...but Bandit, o my...he is trying to hit her with his paws...and wants to chase her...in a moment i thought he is going to bit her.
Than i decided to let him on the deck, his favorite place...and just closed the screen door...than let Foxy and him touch noses and play closely without Bandit being able to hurt her. They were fine, played, touched, sniffed...my husband was inside with Foxy, i was outside with Bandit.
Since Bandit was calm, did not seem excited anymore, we decided to let him in to play with his sis....as soon we did it, he turned into a hunter, just wanted to chase Foxy and show with his paws who is the boss, occasional hissing and growling, scary lol...
I am really scared for Foxy...does anyone has any suggestion how and what to do next, because no matter what i am not giving up on any of my babies, and no matter how long it is going to take.
Just to mention both cats are spayed/neutered before i got them from the breeder.
Experienced multiple Bengal cat owners help please to overcome this problem somehow.

I'm not so experienced - we have a natural brother and sister who are nine months old. But , if it is any reassurance, it sounds to me like you are tackling it in the right way. Maybe try a few more days when they can just see and smell each other through the screen door. Then a few days at least of only supervised interaction. They actually need to suss each other out, and see who will be dominant. So a bit of growling, hissing, patting, even hitting and biting can be expected. When you next put them together, get lots of toys out to play with - but they will be mighty interested in the other cat. Bandit will probably want to make it plain to Foxy, that this is HIS house. Fair enough, she will generally accept that.

Even when they do accept each other, there will be rough play, sometimes hissing or growling, and one playing Top Cat to show who is boss. It is normal cat behaviour and it generally sounds a whole lot more than it is! Our two do this quite a bit. They came home together, and stick close in times of stress, but they also chase hard and play rough sometimes. We seperate them only when the girl screams when her brother bites too hard. He just gets over excited sometimes...... This is only once every week or two. The rest of the time, the noise and rough housing is all part of the game/proof of dominance, submission etc.

Good luck

It can take weeks to introduce two kitties. You simply have to make sure that your boy is not aggressive toward your new baby girl. You don't want him bullying her or hurting her. She's just a tiny little thing and may not be able to protect herself the way she should be. Over the next several months, she will grow larger and larger. You've obviously tried to introduce them slowly. Some times it just takes longer. It seems you're doing the right thing -- you'll just have to supervise them for a while. Hopefully, you're playing with both of them together so their energy is concentrated on toys and not each other. I hope you'll post a picture once they are snuggling up together and sound asleep. Oh and make sure both are getting equal love. Sometimes it's like an older sibling getting jealous over the new baby who is getting ALL the attention. Spread the love around!

Thank you guys, We tried again today over the screen door...Bandit wanted in so badly, than started growling again...since i was home alone i did not take the chances and separated them. The thing is Foxy is so funny, she is not scared at all, that's what scares me the most. I rather have her run away...but no, she is supper curious and keeps going towards him. Will try again afternoon when my husband comes home. I got the boy first because i thought he is going to be more excepting than female cats, plus i did not think 5-6 months old male could be this territorial. Maybe the theory is wrong. I am just afraid it will take longer, poor Foxy has to be alone in my bedroom.
