Hello, I am wondering if anyone can tell me if this is a bengal or a mix. Around 9 weeks. I am looking to adopt one and someone is claiming that this is a bengal. I don't want to pay bengal price if it isn't.

Thank you!

Do they have papers on the kitten? Looks like it is probably a marble bengal but who knows if it's a mix. Do they have the parents?

Looks like a Bengal to me BUT if you are unsure about this breeders honesty I would walk away. Research the breed and breeders and be 100% certain about the health of the kittens and their lineage.

I'm not seeing a lot of bengal in this kitten. It is so adorable, however! If you're paying good money for a bengal, then you want it to look like a bengal. Find yourself a reputable breeder who will provide you with papers that you can register the cat. I would consider a bengal mix to not be very valuable. And this kitty, although great markings, doesn't appear to be bengal markings.

Lets put it this way... if somebody were to introduce him as a bengal, I would believe it. But if his heritage is important to you, "legit" breeders will always provide papers proving his heritage. If you are just buying him from "some guy/girl" asking you to take it on faith, well, those are the actions of somebody that doesn't care about his heritage.

Nice looking cat! His markings and coat are really nice, and he has a very cute face.

I agree that if the person is asking Bengal price, then ask to see the parent and possibly papers. That shouldn't be an issue. If it is, be cautious.

Cute kitty! :)
