Tuffy's coat is really looking nice, the brushing has it feeling soft as the inside of a fur lined gloved(notice he now owns my mouse pad...)

he really is a stunning boy =) Gets more and more handsome everytime i see new pics!

Linden does that chair thing, too =) I love it. Can be distracting at times, and frustrating if you want to lean back - but entirely too cute to do anything about

Sads news came in the mailbox for Tuffy this morning. The vet sent Tuffy a reminder that he's due to go have his..
uh-hmm, how do I say it.. his 'clankers', his 'cajones', his 'bits', oh heck -his BALLS removed.

The cattery won't release his Bengal registration papers until the vet signs off on the procedure being completed.

Susie wants me to ask anyone near Mobile, Alabama (US) with a fertile feline who might be interested in trying for
just one litter(Susie wants a female kitten from the litter) Tuffy is almost 5 months old. Then we will have my
little buddy neutered. And his official papers released to us. -Big Art & Susie

I don't think that your breeder would be very happy if you let Bud mate with a female

Breeders sell pet Bengals in good faith that they will be just that pets
Who knows where the rest of the litter would end up....This is how BYB potentially start selling kittens. I'm not being harsh here, but if you really want a female Bengal then you would be better to home one from a registered breeder again. If all pet owners let their cats have just one mating then that could open the door for numerous unwanted kittens. Us breeders pay a huge amount for our breeding cats which are selectively chosen to meet the breed standard, and it would be very unethical for a breeder to allow a pet to be mated unless you paid the difference in the pet/breed price and that cat was bought specifically for breeding

I agree Tally...
No matter how cute our pets are... they are just that-pets..
If your breeder wanted to sell breeder quality you would have paid a lot more..
theoretically you will be breaking your contract with the breeder and could quite possibly end up in court and have the kitten removed from your home..
You couldnt have one litter then get the op done,and then get the papers through.. the breeder would sue the arse off you!!

As Tally said.. if you want a female, buy a female pet kitten or a female breeding quality registered kitten.. and take her to a registered stud..
Breeders spend a lot of money registering with TICA and only breeding the best of the best.. If everyone bred their pet quality cats the breed would be in a mess and also you cant register kittens bred from pets so you would then struggle to sell them as people may think they were cross breeds etc..

as for having a litter from him, i can understand how tempting it is when you love your little guy so much & want one of his offspring, but as touched on by others it is not the way to go. there will be reasons tuffy was only sold as pet quality rather than for breeding.
as bengals are still very much in the development stages & there are many complications which us breeders are still trying to eradicate from the breed, it wouldn't be wise to mate a pet quality cat.
it could be opening up genetic defects, health compliations & undesired traits.
you're best plan would be to talk with tuffy's breeder & maybe book a relative of his from a future litter. that way, you get a relative of his but it would be from bengals who were selected specifically for breeding because they have all the qualities required to carry the breed forward

i hope this doesn't sound like a lecture, but hopefully help you realise the reasons behind the choices that we have to make as ambassadors for our cats.
