Yup - this article is very true. My bengal cats are deadly - they will attack feet without provocation and kneed you to death before sitting on you in an attempt to stop you from running away. As for the neighbours cats, they must be terrified of the bengals little spotty faces eyeing them up through the windows...

I watched the video on CNN and I must say that you don't go kicking a cat -- which I am sure was a hard kick -- and get away with it! I think they need to rehome the cat because they obviously don't care for the kitty. Nobody has said whether the baby was pulling on the cat's fur or hitting the cat. Little ones don't know any better. Most cats have patience with them and won't harm them until they have had enough. Had a kitty decades ago who was so mild-mannered. A friend brought their young son and he was tormenting the cat. We kept telling him to leave her alone. Well, he continued and she scratched him and he came running to his daddy crying. I had no sympathy because the kid asked for it. We warned him several times and he'd keep going back to the cat.

I love your screen name as I call Raiden "you little Munchkin" all the time.

Cats will not attack a human unless they are provoked and "striking the four-year-old animal on the rear in retaliation" means that the owner got what was coming to him.
Negative discipline doesn't work.

The worst my cats get are a shouting at or a quick blow in their face - that is particularly effective when I have chicken covered hands and they are trying to steal it - I cant touch them as my hands are dirty and they know it - all they do is wait for me to run out of breath and they are back again - little ratbags - and they know I give them the off-cuts afterwards cos i'm a big softy!

Clearly.... some people are too stupid to own a cat!
