Hello,

does anyone no were I can buy a cat scratch pole to the ceiling? I have seen hi cat website just wondered if there are any more out there that I can't find. I have two cat trees I just want a pole now as my tinkerbel loves being chased and running up her trees. If anyone knows of any I would like to hear your ideas?

Hi

There's a fairly big scratching post on amazon for about £50, my friend has it and it is near enough to the ceiling.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leopet®-KBD008-2blue-Scratching-Height/dp/B007K5NQ8G/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1394807554&sr=8-5&keywords=cat+tree

Its lovely as well, and comes in a few different colours :)

Also as well, There as things called 'cat shelves' I havn't seen any in person but online they look really good.... they're basically fancy shelves that go up the wall and cats can climb as high as they want. I will be sorting some cat shelves out when I move house soon.

Hope this helps!

My Raiden doesn't climb up his scratching posts. A scratching post is supposed to be tall enough for the cat to stretch out completely and scratch. I guess it could resemble a tree trunk, and cats love to climb trees. I've never seen a very tall scratching post, but I do hear it's easy to purchase supplies and make your own.

Not sure where you are located. I found this, it's in the US though.

I have one but I made it by screwing together all the sisal scratch posts from a cat tree that my cats ruined (this one: http://www.petplanet.co.uk/product.asp?dept_id=816&pf_id=58799). It spans almost 1 and half floors and my cats love it.

So if you are desperate, you can buy a cheapish cat tree and disassemble it! Or perhaps find a place that just sells sisal posts and do some diy.

you mean like this?

That's really cool imo, but you would have to put some thought into placement, since once your cat climbs up there, there has to be some way to "gently" get down without a "crash landing". But that could be accomplished a bunch of different ways.

I *so* need to find a place in the US to get me one of those now
