Took Raiden out yesterday when it was sprinkling. I can't handle an umbrella and him, so we both got a little damp. He came back in, washed himself, and was dry in minutes.

Cute, and that also reminds me...

We had this big, very unusual snow storm recently. There was about a foot of snow outside. I am usually extremely careful when opening/closing doors outside because Gaga is curious and sometimes makes a run for it. But on that day I was fussing with boots and a big jacket and all that. Gaga timed it perfectly, got a running start, and shot out the door the moment it opened.... then landed on the snow, coming to a skidding stop  She had such a huge expression of shock. Then she, tried to do a quick u-turn and get back inside, but she got very little traction on the snow/ice, and her feat just kind of spun for a few seconds, before she scrambled back inside. All this happened in the span of about 10 seconds

I hope you didn't laugh at her, Brian!

If I laugh at something stupid that Benji has done, I get such a hard stare!

It happened too fast, and initially it scared me but quickly turned to relief. I laugh about it now after the fact though, but at the time, it was actually very worrying.

I will take Rain and Snow over the extreme cold weather that we have had here in Wisconsin. It's the coldest weather on record since 1912 when they started to track this stuff. We had 20 to 50 degrees below zero temperatures for weeks on end. The Northern Jet Stream has pushed far south causing these extreme conditions.

Today, it's 35 degrees above zero which is or normal temperature for this time of year. Next week they are forecasting temps to fall near or below zero again.

I never want it to rain again, after that flood took out my town in September! I finally moved back into my house!

Gosh that is bad.

I'm hoping that we are finally seeing an end of the rain here and the flooding locally is starting to decrease. So many people were badly affected. Each time it rains the floods instantly appear back, the ground water levels are massively high.
