We are planning on making a cat tree for our Kittens (well not me personally. Someone is making it for us :blink: ) So give us some ideas and show us pictures of your original and wonderful Cat Tree's.

Once our one is made, we will post pics for you all to see.

Well, here it is, my clever Dad has made this for Zeus and Nero.....I'm sure you'll all agree, it looks fantastic, lets hope Zeus and Nero like it too

The tree your dad made is VERY VERY NICE -- good workmanship, and interesting configuration. The paw print fabric and the ladder are very nice "touches" as well. Also "peek a boo -- catch your tail and bite it" , is one of my girls favorite games one on a high shelf, and the other on the next shelf below --- the shelves near the top of your tree will be wonderful for those games

A note -- just for future reference -- the longer the vertical run, on a cat tree for a bengal -- the better!

And, even though he has put the sisal rope on two legs of bottom level -- as your bengals GROW -- the rope will be too low for them to use effectively for claw exercise. As they wear out the carpet on those legs above the ropes (and I can almost guarantee you, they will) You may want to replace it with the sisal rope all of the way up to the floor of the next level up.

No criticism intended -- just aware this is all new to you - as it was to me only a few months ago --

My bengals climb straight up a 6 foot tall hardwood post, and another 4 ft tall one, covered in sisal rope :blink:
(And, they are both girls still under 1 year old !!!) They do like different level "shelves" or resting points" to walk back down, after their wild climb (or RACE) to the top <_<

The cat tree is beautiful. I'm *sure* they will like it. He did a great job. You are lucky to have someone who will build what you want and do it correctly.

Now, see if he will build you one that is about 6-1/2 to 7' tall with several shelves. Bengals need to be up as high as they can climb. Believe it or not, even small kittens will climb up to those heights to survey their kingdom from above. <G> You will need several things they can climb and its a good idea to get perches or trees for every room they play in or they will climb what they can find in that room--ours sure do. We are still working on the ones for the bedrooms. Our house is pretty small in sq. footage and definately limited in floor space so we are going to have to find something to do with climbing posts that don't take much room on the floor...like a post and shelving for them to walk on.

Wow, LaVon, I love that cat tree. I hope you don't mind if I ask if you built it yourself or, if not, who did you buy it from. I really like those peeled logs. Of course, the cats you chose to decorate it with are pretty special looking, too.
