My dad just recently adopted a bengal cat and the cat is not using the litter box all the time. Today she urinated on his bed and so he was going to put her down but I am going to take her and try to find her a home. I am wondering, how do I screen people to ensure that they will be able to take care of her and provide her with the care she needs? What questions should I ask and what should I look for? The problem is I already have two cats of my own who are NOT going to be happy with me when I bring her home tomorrow morning so I need to find her a committed and loving home ASAP.

You can get help and advice here for dealing with peeping problems if they continue once kitty is in your care.. it might be that the manner and attitude of your dad contributed to the issue there and with you things may be very different, but do update to let us know.
I suggest taking step to limits stress for your rescued kitty and your residents, a safe room with its own tray just for the newcomer obviously but also feliway, zyklene or other tactics that have worked in the past for your residents will help ease the stress during this foster.

Others here know more than me about various Bengal rescue programs (who also foster and help re-home) in different countries. Since finding your topic (now moved to allow replies) I had an another thought I'll add here.
Where did your dad get this Bengal? .. if you can find out and if it was a breeder they can be contacted. They will almost certainly take the kitten back if you need them to do that or at least offer to help you find a forever home (hopefully).

I'm really glad that you are taking control of that awful situation. My advice is not to try to handle the rehoming yourself, but rather to use a shelter (assuming there is one). They are built for handling this situation, and have all the adopion criteria worked out. Believe me, a bengal in a shelter is likely to be the crown jewel of the cat population there. If a bengal landed in the humane society shelter here in portland, I'd be absolutely shocked if he wasn't adoptes like the first hour he was on display.

He got some stick on this forum when he was questioning me regarding my two poorly kittens but I understand why he was frustrated that yet another so called breeder had allowed kittens to leave early, unvaccinated and underweight. It turned out he was right to be concerned as they both tested positive for TF.

He never said "I told you so" but he could have - he knew from the moment I posted they had diarrhoea.

Adopting a pet is a huge commitment and not to be taken lightly. I hate to hear that your dad decided to give up and so happy that you are taking the cat and trying to find it a good home. I'm sure this kitty will thrive in a different environment.

Danik, is there an update on the cat? I'm sure there are a number of people who are interested in how things are going over there.
