please I am thinking of buying a Bengal kittens, I have come across a website called snowybengals, has any one heard of these if so what do you think of them as breeders,

Poor website, no HCM tesing on any of her cats, PKdef on current queens only, badly worded contract........

In answer to you question...we bought our beloved Pi from Snownybengals 11 mos ago and we could not have found a better Bengal. The breeder Andrea is a very lovely person and her kittens are healthy, socialized and have very sweet temperments. Mother and father can be viewed and are tested pk def neg My husband and I are purchasing a second spotted baby from Snownybengals due home on 19 May 2014. My experience with this breeder has only been positive in every way.

The sire and dam are posted on the site. I hope the breeder test her cats for HCM ASAP!! I would imagine it's very risky breeding a queen with HCM in her immediate lineage! I personally would never rest easy with buying a kitten who has a great chance of HCM. The fact is all of our cats could have HCM at some point , it is in the breed. However if a person decides to breed these cats they should never breed from HCM positive lines and should have a cardiologist perform testing on their breeding cats. It is the ONLY way HCM can be prevented. It's the lives of our beloved pets at stake!!!! Not the breeders finances!!!

Edit: that statement is not directed towards you lifeofpi!!! Other than the parents being listed of course! I just get extremely frustrated with people breeding cats without health screening!! Recently there has been an alarming number of post regarding bengals either being diagnosed or dying suddenly of HCM. It is disturbing to know that breeders charge such great amounts for their kittens without testing! You can get a kitten for close to the same price from screened parents!! Why take the gamble???

hi all I purchased a cat from Theluji bengals a couple of years ago. I purchased him because he was from NON SILVER LINES so chances were low for HCM. Which cat is it that has HCM that junglrose was talking about. thanks
