Fear about spaying

It sounds like you have a very reasonable vet!! Which is a good thing :biggrin:

everything looked good to me other than the bruise and bleeding!! Since the vet has taken extra precaution I think she should be good now. I am also very glad to hear she is acting like her normal self, once all of this mess is over you will have a very happy and healthy girl!! Please keep us updated with how she is doing. Spay and neuter are usually clip snip and go, nothing more to it. Looks like you and your kitty got the short end of the stick!! I hope from here on things continue to prove and you can rest easy!!

Many thanks bkilgore :) Will be glad once it's all healed up and forgotten about. She seems to be less bothered by it as well.

So glad to hear how the vet has reacted - Make sure you monitor, and any further bleeding or concerns, take her straight back in. If her temperament changes suddenly up until it is fully healed, pop her back - It could be indicative of pain caused by the subcut vein still bleeding into the wound.

My cat often dreams (twitching, running ect) and occasionaly has a bad dream that she wakes from scared and flighty. Your girl has recent traumatic memories so perhaps she is dreaming about her recent spaying and the time she spent at the vets?
While there she prolly thought *this isnt my home *everything smells horrible *Im trapped here

Everytime you come home from the vets you are getting appreciation from her for rescuing her and bringing her back to her happy cosy home. :mrgreen:

Thanks lollo, you have a lovely little family there too :) I love the idea of having a blue eyed Bengal.

Ours is technically a slight variant, her mum was a true Bengal and the breeder looked after a male tabby for a friend which sneaked in with one of her queens...

I think the socks were something that appealed to us a lot when we got to her and also the pretty face. She still has the big ears and eyes I think, maybe not such big eyes as true Bengals. She seems to exhibit much the same traits, being vocal, following us round the house, always wanting to be around us, playing around with water etc.

My bengal is very easy to look after really... it's my Tonkinese that cause me all the trouble!! lol I actually have 13 kittens at the moment so it's more than a little crazy here :eek:

Blue eyes are special, i think anyhow... i can't say no to them!

I adore little white paws on cats ... this and her lovely fuzzy white chest (in your pic) obviously made it clear that your girl wasnt pure-bred but nobody was even pausing to mention such a thing while you were in need of advice for your girl.
I think she is gorgeous and like I say, I LOVE her cute little cotton socks.
If cute cotton socks was added to the breed standard for bengals (lol not likely but...) then I would have been searching the UK for one of those bengals back when I was looking. :mrgreen:

Apologies in the 2 year delay in responding! She's been great since the spaying and glad to hear she's accepted on here as I really wanted to get a Bengal and my other half wanted a regular moggie so she was a bit of a compromise! We had first choice in the litter of 3 and she was the one that seemed to need the most love and was very shy but very appealing and we're happy with our choice. She's been more affectionate since the op and does still try to spray, very oddly she'll often point her bum at me and wiggle as if to try and spray but thankfully nothing happens! She's cheeky too as she pretends to do it to get attention as she knows my other half will giver her a treat or something to distract her which I advised was the cat manipulating her! :)

Thanks for all the thoughts and well wishes, 2 years on and she's still doing well.

She is exquisitely pretty. Total bengal face and stunning green eyes. I love little white socks and a white bib on cats!
