Took basil in the car, then his carrier.
He doesn't allow me to put him in his carrier until he is in the car first.
He put up a little fight this morning, but he finally got in. Started the car and headed to the vet. On the road and he BOLTS through his cage like a ninja!
Pull over and realized he Broke the zippers and everything. Had no where to put him since his cage broke, so had to drive with him loosely.
Have a screaming curious Bengal peaking out all of the windows and everyone's waving at him from their cars.
Get to the vets office late from having to pull over for the whole ordeal and politely ask them if they have a spare cat carrier I can put him in since he broke his. Put him in the carrier and bring him in. Vet tries to get a urine sample by squeezing on his bladder a little because it usually works, nada. He has a full bladder but wont release so she has to use needle to take sample.
We sit in the waiting room for about half an hour to get his urine sample results- I figured out how to fix his broken zipper cage and put him back in his own cage. we get the results, and our prescription and head back on the road to pick up his prescriptions. Suddenly I smell it- he pees himself. He never pees himself, poor baby probably couldn't hold it any longer after! Well- his urine seeps through the carrier and a bit of the smell got on the car seat.
We finally get home after having to pick up his prescription (somehow accomplishing to get cat urine all over my leg) and poor Basil is so humiliated with himself he didn't even eat his lunch. Just hid under the kitchen table trying to clean himself for hours. I felt so bad for him.
Here we are 12 hours later with the carrier in the wash being cleaned and a stinky sleeping kitty on my lap.
What a day.

Lesson here? Invest in a hard case carrier.
Any suggestions on how long you think Basil will have a musky Urine smell to him?
I don't think its a good idea to attempt giving Basil a bath....LOL
