This is my lovely Lily. She is 5 weeks pregnant and not enjoying the heat at all  :

She is roughly the same size as last year, possibly a shade bigger, and she had 8 babies then!

Aww bless! She doesn't look to happy but I can say I can't blame her! Do you think she will have that large of a litter again? Sorry for my ignorance of the breed, but is that a typical size litter! It seems like a lot to me, bless her heart!

You can just make out Pippa on the blanket in the background as well....

It does seem quite common for them to have larger litters i guess. I think 6-8 is not unusual really... think 5-6 is probably the average though.

Lily had 5 the first time and 8 the second time. The first 5 all added up to the same weight at birth as the second litter of 8 did. I am hoping she has 6 this time, much more manageable! lol Especially as Pippa is due two weeks after Lily! lol I cannot imagine an extra 12 cats in the house for 3 months

Sounds like you wont have to imagine 12 extra cats for 3 months.................... given the numbers of kittens Lily has had before............ looks like you will be living it!!

They are so beautiful though.................. your Toby is beautiful!!

 that will certainly be fun! At least you know you will not have a boring moment for the next three months  it does seem like a large litter, especially when their weight adds up to be the same as a smaller litter! She does look pleasantly plump! You might have an extra 12 or more!!!
