Hi there!
I'm a breeder of Bengal cubs and have a few things to add.
Never ever go by the website as was already stated--just because a breeder has an excellent site and wonderful collages of photos etc. means nothing. I learned the hard way six years ago and had so many issues with very "prominent" breeders here in North America--cubs don't look the same as photos or are sickly and the breeder blames the shipping process OR even worse doesn't send any health check/vet documents.
I would ask many questions and request LOTS of pictures--when a client asks us for pictures we give them twenty. I find a lot of the breeders only send a few at best and when shipping is involved you want to SEE what you are getting because you can't necessarily visit the cub in person--we would rather have the client pleasantly surprised on how gorgeous the kid is then have disappointment. We also scan all documents so if something does happen during transport we have the originals.
Just my two cents.
Of course they should be TICA registered in the US/Canada at the least and be able to provide BOTH parents five generation pedigrees if asked. Oh, also, just because a breeder is selling a cub for a little less than others--example...we price our Pet Bengal kittens as such so pricing is reasonable for a family and we always take into consideration--markings/temperament. Also, we price lower for people that are easy to ship to--shipping to Japan/Australia or even the UK from Canada is a lot of paperwork and vet visits. Pricing always reflects that.
Again just my thoughts.
