Hello

I've been lurking here for quite some time (since we paid our deposit on our bengal kitten in November). Well, we finally got her this weekend and I decided to introduce myself.

My new bengal kitten is Luna. She's 13 weeks old. We're not really sure what colour she is. Her mother was brown spotted and her father was silver spotted. She was born silver spotted but now has lightened up considerably in colour. Pictures really don't do her justice. But her body colour is a cream/light tan and her spots are a a darker tan to black. She's still slightly in the fuzzies so we're waiting for her coat to clear. Even the breeder is slightly confused by her colour. We'll just have to wait and see how she ages.



My boyfriend and I picked a bengal because we just bought our first condo and we can only have one pet. He's a cat person and I'm a dog person that likes cats. We don't currently have the lifestyle for a dog so I suggested we do some research on cat breeds and then he suggested a bengal (he's wanted one since he was a little boy). We checked out some local breeders but finally settled on a breeder about 6 hours away. After keeping us updated on her development, she finally arrived down here when her breeder came down for a cat show and brought a few of the kittens that were going to families in our area.

She's an absolute dream. She's playful and affectionate. I've never had a cat that feels the need to sleep completely draped over me. She follows us from room to room and calls to us when she wakes up and can't find us. Today I was home sick from work and she kept me company in bed all day. She's a real sweetheart. I'll post some more pictures of her in the gallery.

Ahhh - she looks lovely and seems to have settled in really quickly. I don't know anything about colours but she sounds like she's got the Bengal personality and that's what makes them so wonderful. I had a long conversation with Daisy this afternoon when one of my neighbours was over for coffee. It just seemed natural to me - she'd come in from the garden and wanted to tell me all about it. It was only when my neighbour looked completely amazed that I realised how strange it must have seemed
