Here is the latest update from my work forum:
Cat update:
Have rung around a number of cat rescue centres to see if they can take the older cat, whose name is Spooky. Many just don't take older cats, but all are full especially since most limit the number of older cats they take in. They are more difficult to rehome and just end up living in the cattery until they die, even though cats can live till mid-teens even early 20s! People just don't want an older animal.
Please, please if you know anyone who might be able to take this cat in, ask them if they would. Spooky is on a waiting list for Howarth Cat Rescue, but it could be a few months before they have room, so even if she can find somewhere for a few months it would help. I can't take her because we only got our cat a month ago and she is still settling in. Plus our cat is an indoor cat (she's deaf) and Spooky is an indoor/outdoor cat.
Any help would be appreciated!
