We are fascinated by the Bengal breed and cannot wait to add a new member to our family. We currently have a 2 year old Siamese called Blue and he is an affectionate cat but very independent and we feel that a Bengal would fit in with his personality. We have 2 children who adore cats and are gentle and respectful with them. We have a big house with lots of space and gardens front and rear and quite roads. I don't have anything but you should be more specific than north east. A country is a start If its in the US I remember a guy in Jersey had one don't know if its available still. A word of warning "independent" might not be a good pair. My Bengal and many others don't respect personal space like most cats but more like a dog. My Bengal has no cat friends but we try, he loves every dog we've meet even ones I don't want him playing with he'll run right up to them and want to play. Like my neighbors Doberman I hate that dog and I'm a dog guy, my cat scares it

Sorry. Should have said North East England (UK). Blue tends to keep himself to himself and choose when he wants affection. There is a Bengal down our street and comes and waits outside for Blue and the play in the front garden.

My parents cat is a loner when we visit my cat will not leave her alone. He just wants to play she just wants to be left alone. He's more than capable of finding her wherever she is. She hisses and swats at him he just thinks she's playing.

Playing with the bengal down the road is a lot different to having a bengal in the house. Siamese are notorious for being territorial and so are bengals, so bringing a bengal in the home could cause some issues.

You'll need to put a lot of effort into this and you have to realize that bengals are very active and playful, esp asa young kitty. My 9 month old gets on her mum's nerves at times, so imagine a non related cat lol

Maybe have a trail, ask that bengal owner if they could bring their cat round to yours one day, see how your kitty reacts to him/her in the house?
