Decided I need a live-in Techie!

This is too much...having recently moved (changed telephone number and therefore internet provider too) I have no idea how to get my skype up and running, my everclipper on my phone won't work so can't upload photos to this website, my printer won't work for some reason, I have to work out how the Echo Smartpen works...the list goes on!!

Start Uni in two weeks and away for one of those...so not fair! :evil:

I'll have to look into bringing my cat. I think its quite a pain to bring mammals into the UK. But I need a change so bad its not really a joke. I'd love to continue my education I'll help you study and carry your books too :wink:

WELL......perhaps you should start with a holiday! Its a big decision to move to another country and there may be dialect issues between the cats for a starter....but if you're offering to help me study AND carry all my books then I would have to move your resume to the top of the pile! :wink:

Don't need a holiday. Besides family...my cat, car and tools are all that's important. My family is already prepared for me to move there was another opportunity I was seriously considering. Although it was still in the US. :roll:

Wonder what the laws are for importing a vehicle? One with the steering wheel on the correct side

Tools like meters and electronic related, and automotive a closet will do. I've seen Top Gear drive cars on the street that would land you in jail here. Its perfectly legal here to have the wheel on the wrong side. I'm sending you my resume but I'll have a hard time finding a pic I'm behind the camera. Maybe if Skype worked. ......

Yes...that is what worries me... a house full of man things in the shape of leads, USB cables etc and so on...would upset my karma unless they stayed in said cupboard when you're not fiddling with them! Yes, but what you're forgetting is that Top Gear test drives a lot of "dream supercars" that many here (unless wealthy) can only dream of. And regarding your comment about jail this does not surprise me....you guys drive really slow over there but then your speed limit is lower. Yes, you are right...it is perfectly legal here too to have a car with the steering wheel on the wrong side....but I may want to pinch it occasionally (works both ways) and it does annoy me reaching for things on the wrong side! Skype..... :roll:

now you are the second person hinting at me to get this sorted out...guess I'll have to do that now as I can understand your predicament - I'm usually behind the camera too! Perhaps you should clicker train Pouncey to take photos! :lol:

) about Skype I've never used it and I'm on a mobile network so speed would be an issue. We DRIVE SLOW?!? WUT?? IDK to be honest I can't imagine going faster? I'm a techi but I like to build things from scratch like Lasers maybe a RC helicopter or something mostly the car can keep me happy its a VW BTW. If you look around there's a video with me on here somewhere ......

I know...me too!! Oh for goodness sake...what does IDK mean???!! Ok...lasers would bore me to death but if you started building a helicopter I might get nosey and want to interfere, particularly when it came to the paint job! On my wish list is the Range Rover Evoque...I want a red one!! Well tell me where to look then...how many messages are on here...seriously!! But you've done another sneaky with me....I decided not to give up and I've just successfully installed Skype (I think)...so you may have to skype me anyway so I can check its working!

Ok...I just downloaded it (its free) and chose the basic non pay setting. Then it takes you through a "wizard set up" including checking your headphones and camera work. Then it says to chose friends to talk to...I've just found that if you click on "contacts" in the menu list running across the top (left to right) and "add contact" if gives you options to fill in and then you can do it!

So...."your mission should you choose to accept it"...is to get it sorted out for tomorrow and then we can try it out! :wink:

Got account and everything set up. I really don't think my network will support it. I'm tethered to my cell no wifi. Maybe directly on my phone but I live in a valley and reception isn't great. Well get back to it tomorrow. I also can "Jailbreak" apple devices and "Root" Android :wink:
