I agree with Heidi. No way in a million years should you take the kitten home at less than 13 weeks let alone unvaccinated at 9 weeks. The stress of a strange environment, maybe other pets in your home, and the fact that the kitten's immune system won't be fully developed is a recipe for disaster.

Thanks for the replies - as it turns out 13 weeks would be better anyway as it's at the start of the summer holidays so hubby (teacher) will be at home with the kittens when they arrive! It was tempting to be given the option but the breeder is happy to keep them till after their second jabs so all is fine!
