Hi everyone I was looking for some help/advice with rehoming my bengals, there names are Lynx and Zenga they are 4 year old healthy brothers. Recently me and my partner have had a baby girl and i am struggling to give the cats the attention that they need! We will be very sad to see them go but they deserve better than us and i am hoping that somebody might be able to help point me in the right direction for rehoming?! We live in the east midlands so if anyone knows of any bengal rescue centres it would be a great help!

There are no Bengal Rescues.

What problems are they causing?

Plenty of people can manage babies and bengals/cats so it would be useful to find out what exactly is causing you to rehome your bengals after having them so long.

They don't get the attention they need anymore its not just because we have a baby now, I hardly have the time to play with them due to work and other commitments. And i have to lock them in the kitchen at night time and the end up being naughty and breaking things!? Ino this is what bengals are about but i just think they would be much happier with a family that has more space and time for them.

My point was that they must be doing something you consider naughty or bad to assume they are neglected. Sometimes this is just knocking things over, sometimes it's racing around the furniture at high speed, sometimes it's crying till late at night and sometimes it's toiletting problems. There might be something we can help advise you that might mean they do not need this upheaval. Usually there is a way to work things out so you do not have to part with something/s that have been part of you life for so long.

Is this your first child? Are they indoor only cats? What naughty things are they doing?

We adopted our Bengal from this rescue; https://www.facebook.com/spotsandstripesbengalcatrescue . She is very picky about her adoptive homes for her Bengals, we waited a while for ours. She also pairs people to personality of cats. She might be able to help you out good luck!

That's very helpful but the OP lives in England so i'm pretty sure that rescue will not take his cats!

hi lollo sorry for the late reply, the cats don't really have any behaviour issues there just typical crazy bengals! i should of rehomed them along time ago because they live in a small cramped house and they just want to go out and play all the time but i couldn't give them up because it would break my heart! its hard to give them the attention they need whilst looking afer my daughter and working 12hr shifts. i no somebody can look after them better than me?

Hi - both are laid back boys aged 3years and 7 years. I have had the eldest just over a year as a rehome and the three year old we have had since December as a rehome - both are superb and get on with the neighbours cats ok. I have pm'd my phone numbers - will chat

Have you tried talking to their breeder to see if they can help. That is always the recommended first point of call.
