Hi I am looking for a new home for my gorgeous two year old male bengal. He gets along well with other cats as he is from a multi cat house. The reason Im looking for a new home is that he has only recently been reunited with us after being missing for just over 5 months. We thought he had gone forever and after grieving we have replaced him with a new boy. We already have 5 cats and we just dont have room to keep him. It has been a long process nursing him back to health because he had been living rough the whole time he was missing. He has been tested for Fiv and has had the all clear from the vet. He has the most amazing eyes you will ever see on a brown spotted bengal.He is a very muscular and powerful boy with a very confident nature. He doesnt have a typical cat meow, he has a wild sounding voice and he likes to use it.He has been reared with children and a dog so is quite used to a busy house. I will only let him go to someone who is used to handling cats preferable has owned a bengal before. I dont mind if you want to be able to let him out although he would be prone to theft as he was originally our show cat so is of a high quality. He absolutly loves being groomed and bathed and will let you trimm his claws when hes in the mood for it. Hes vaccinated, micro chipped and wormed . I dont really understand why you would want to re home your boy after finding him after so long missing - would it not be fairer to re home your new boy?

Yeah wow... I am kind of surprised by this too. You would think after your boy being missing for so long you would be thrilled to have him back home and would never want to part with him again! I guess I just can't imagine how anyone could feel differently about this. I would feel super guilty if I 'replaced' my missing cat with a new one, then wanted to get rid of my original cat when he finally came home... I just could never do that. You really can't just keep him? He probably missed his family and is happy to be home, why would you want to put him through more stress by re-homing him? Oh well, I guess if you can find him a more loving home then he's better off anyway. Good luck I hope you find someone who wants him.

I'm sorry, but I agree with the others, since he's just come home to you and is probably ecstatic to have finally come home, I would probably keep the boy you're trying to rehome, and rehome the new kitten. The kitten is still young and can adapt to a new home better than a 2 year old

Just echo above, I would never let them go again if my boy went missing But I would rehome the newest boy if I had to

Can't understand your change of heart. You were so pleased to get him back originally. Why is it not possible to keep him as a pet?

Hi everyone I understand what you are saying totally but he was my stud boy and I do love him to pieces which is why i think after his ordeal he should retire and find a fantastic loving home where he can have some freedom, which he so much desires and what got him in to that pickle in the first place. I want him to be able to chill out and sleep in the sun not to have compete with another stud which he would hate.........

Oh, so he's not neutered yet. What is there to compete with if you just get him neutered and let him relax and live his life as a normal pet cat at your house? Not telling you that you should or anything, I'm just wondering...
