blimey always litters of 5-9!
Personally I dont like big litters, prefer a nice size of 4
esp after i hand reared a litter of 8 when mum had no milk, nearly killed me and we lost 3, no reason other than the hand feeding
as the others said just because he mated her doesnt mean that she is in kitten, my boy took 2 goes before he finally got the girls into kitten, now he doesnt want to stop!
as for the vets, well! I had one say that the girl was 100% in kitten with 2, she wasnt, and I had 3 vets said def not pregnant, and she went on to have 7 4 weeks later! so cant raelly go by it.
Ive had kittens that are packed in tight no movement at all, then ones that dont stop, it just depends, hope if she is in kitten it goes well, I find it such a worry!
