I ditto that as well. Definitely swap hands for toys. The toys on a long stick are perfect for this. Also I mentioned in another thread that it may help if you squeal or yelp(as they would) if you're hurt. I does surprise them and sends the message that you don't like it. It may be worth trying...

Hi and welcome to the forum! :D
I agree with everyone else, i used to have a cat that used hands as a toy and it was a habit she couldn't get out of when she became an adult. That hurt. :shock:
I always substitute hands for a toy, so William learns that hands are for pleasurable experiences (such as stroking, feeding treats etc)
Also, if he's on my lap then starts laying in to my arm/hand, i pick him up, firmly say 'no' and put him on the floor. :D
William loves Da bird, it helps to distract him from everything. :lol:
