Hiya. Mine were all spayed on Thursday. Two of them recovered amazingly quickly but the third one is only just starting to look herself. She turned her nose up at food, hid in a covered bed and cried very miserably for over 24 hours while the other two were bounding around and jumping onto wardrobes. Even now she's sleeping more than the other two but she's definitely improving and is coming for attention now.
You don't say what's wrong with the look of the stitching but I was told to look out for it weeping or for any major swelling. Two of mine have quite a bumpy scar but I don't think that's anything to worry about. The other one has a beautiful scar which you can hardly see already - I suspect different vets did the surgery. They haven't been able to reach the stitches because they're semi-internal so none of them have had collars on.
My vet advised a follow up visit 2 days after surgery which should have been this morning, but I rang and we agreed it wasn't necessary. If you're in any doubt, call the vet and take her back in but I do think it's quite normal that they recover at different speeds.
