How old is your baby? Mine is nearly 5 months now and at first we had the same problem. He has stated to calm down a lot now he goes for walks on his harness. Laser pen also worked in that he would chase it frantically but it seemed to "dement" him so that in his frustration he would hurl himself at the curtains or attack and bite my husband with a look of pure evil on his face. Glad Da Bird is favourite because we have one on the way. My other suggestion might be a cat wheel? Haven't got one yet but they look fun on youtube. Also another cat. We have Leonard's sister Kiwi to stay quite often and they wear each other out completely. On the other hand Leonard doesn't show any affection towards us if Kiwi is there x _________________ Karen Jane |

16 weeks now, so 4ish months?
we have a storage room we'll be turning into the kittens room, not certain if a cat wheel would fit in it, plus my partner will look at me like I'm crazy again but its something I might consider later down the line.
at the moment theres a small glimmer of hope that another bengal might be a possibility |

Our babies are about the same age then. Most likely you will find he does settle into a routine around this time. Mine got his Da Bird yesterday and went crazy for it. What an excellent toy! Its the first time I've seen him tire - even when he had his sister to play with he didn't get that worn out! Good luck with a playmate - www.hotfuzzbengals.co.uk has some lovely kittens ready to rehome - I'm thinking of a little mink girl myself! Husband not sure though... Must be a man thing! _________________ Karen Jane |

Our Kimba is 5 months old, and we have to play a game of fetch with him before bedtime, or he will keep us up, tearing around the bed. I throw a ball of paper down the hall and he runs after it and returns it. After a few rounds of this exercise he's ready to join us in bed. This video is from when he was 10 weeks old, just after we got him.

We ended up getting another bengal, it sorted the problem out
They're not currently allowed in the bedroom, but they are very well behaved at night |

You got another kittie then? I do hope that you did not get another bengal or your problem will be doubled in a few months!
Our girl (now 15 months) races round like she needs to play the main lead in the fast & the furious. All the time she is doing this, Sheba shouts at me to tell me how much fun she's having. She goes round the 2 sofa's, out and around the hall, to the kitchen, round the surfaces and window sill, shoot out the cat flap and around the back garden, up the oak tree, back down, through the cat flap, round the bedroom, up on sofa and then up to sit for a few mins on top of living room door before bouncing up the shelves in the front room where she can see if anyones left any bits of paper she can throw on the floor.
yes she's fast. What makes it worse is throughout all this, she is pursued by one 13 month black moggy and one 5 month old black & white moggy. Talk about herd of elephants on wooden floor!
And of amongst all of this, they always find time to have a bit of a "fight" either in back garden or in hallway. Makes me exhausted just thinking about it. |

Can I ask why a second Bengal would be a problem? _________________

Sorry, this was meant as a "tongue in cheek" comment, but I forgot to add a smiley!
I was just trying to imagine a second bengal in my household. If the second one was like Sheba, I think i'd have a mental breakdown with the constant chattering, climbing, cuddlies, climbing shelves and re-arranging them for me, chasing the other cats. sleeping on bed, pulling my hair etc etc
Would I have another one? Yes, without hesitation. |
