Morning! Sandra has just called- Freya has not eaten, wee'd or pooped overnight, she is comfortable not showing signs of distress and is chattering away keeping the nurses entertained! They are going to keep her in tonight again as they don't want to let her home until she can go to the loo normally. They are going to try and tempt her with some pilchards - good luck to them she hates fish!
I know she is in the best place but the house seems so quiet without her and Max is wandering around looking for her - its heartbreaking

It's horrible when one of them is missing from the house isn't it. I'm glad to hear that she seems to be quite content and your vet sounds great. Hopefully the pilchards will tempt her and will help to get things moving.

Sorry she's not home yet. You must miss her terribly. Sounds like she's getting excellent care tho.

Freya certainly is getting the 5 star treatment Very Happy. This afternoon she has pooped & wee'd on her own, no food though Sad The poop was a little hard but she didn't strain, and there was a small amount of blood and some tiny crystals in the wee. Sandra said the blood could be down to stress (Freya is a very skitty girl) but the urine has been sent away for cultivation and they took some more blood which has been sent away too. They have given her some valium to try to stimulate her appetite, apparently it usually works instantly - not with Freya! Just hoping she will eat when it has quietened down in the surgery. Prob wont get her home tomorrow, just got to wait and see.
But all in all i am alot happier than i was at 1400 this afternoon.

Well that sounds good, at least she's 'been'. All you need now is for her appetite to come back.

Glad you feel a bit better. Fingers crossed she's back soon. How's Max is he missing her?

Freya wee'd & pooped again through the night of her own accord Very Happy She still hadn't eaten so i have taken some food in this afternoon to see if that will tempt her. We saw her this morning and to say she was a different cat to the one of the last week or so is an understatement Very Happy she was up and alert and shouting the odds as soon as she heard our voices! Wanting lots of cuddles and fuss she snuggled into her daddy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy If she toilets again over night tonight with no blood then Sandra said she can come home for a couple of days tomorrow. Hopefully for good Very Happy just depends on the test results.
Max is really missing her, he is just moping around the place but da bird takes his mind off her for a while - he slept at my feet last night for the first time in a month..

I'm glad things seem to be improving, it's great that you were able to see her and spend some time with her. Hope things continue and she comes home very soon.

Very Happy Very Happy Freya is home Very Happy Very Happy
as i type she is tucking into her lunch! She is doing so well at the moment, very very vocal and wandering around the house. Max is happier and she hasn't growled at him, licked him though! i hope that means she is happy to be home. She has some bruising where the lines were in but that should fade soon. oh at the fountain........yeah she is drinking!!!!! The urine test results aren't back yet but all the blood tests were normal, as long as she uses her tray, eats and drinks then she should be ok, if there was an infection then i think the antibiotics she has had in her drip for the last 3 days may have done the trick Very Happy She is still drinking!!!!!!!!!!! wow she gotta pee after that much!
Thanks again for all your kind words over the last week, i really thought i would loose her at one point and your support has meant so much.
