Arwen has been here about a month an a half. Rohan is the moggie, he has been here 3 years. Arwen chases Rohan off the food bowl. He is terrified to eat even when I grab food and put him next to me. She also chases him off wherever he is sitting, just cause she can. If he's on the table, suddenly she decides she wants on the table and there just isnt room for him. I dont know what to do. I have a spray bottle and was gonna try that, but it upsets Rohan too. I've tried to put her down from where ever she chased him from and put him back up but he's too scared to stay. Rohan has to keep eating especially because of his medical issues.

And while Im asking, Arwen got spayed 2 weeks ago. She eats like crazy. I have never in my life seen a cat that eats THAT much. Is that normal?

hi donna, i'm sorry to hear they're still not getting along.

it is still early days, in time they should get better. i know that's not much help, but unfortunately there is no miracle cure, just patience & persistence.

as for the eating, is it only since her op? is she eating more than her expected daily amount? if so it may be a case of limiting her access to the food so she doesn't over-eat. they can have a tendency to gain a little weight after neutering as it is.

i do hope it all works out soon.
