Hey everyone!

I just recently reserved a boy bengal cat that I will be getting in mid-January. I have been watching videos of bengals and looking at pictures. I noticed a lot of them climbing on doors. Is this a common thing for them and is there anyway of stopping them or protecting the door from getting scratched up? I currently rent and will probably be renting for another 3-4 years before buying a house of my own... I really don't want to get stuck with a stiff penalty for scratched up doors.

Also, I have a DSH that will be 9 months old when I bring in my bengal kitten... my bengal kitten will be about 10 weeks old when I bring him in... will my DSH teach him things she does? She does some things I am still breaking her of, such as hugging a wall and climbing it... since she is really starting to learn she can't do that, I don't want her to teach him to do it too. they do love to climb. they will probably end up taeching each other things & you'll just have to be strict on the training.

a good cat tree to climb & scratch will be a good purchase, if he goes for the door or wall, quickly transfer him to the climbing toy so he learns that he is allowed on that but not the door.

a lot of persistence usually works.

I'm hoping Eyeris will be like she is with my roommate's cat. Whenever he attacks my couch, she pounces on him and makes him stop... usually before we can get him to stop and tell him no.

Awwwww... Olly looks so innocent though . I am sure I am going to have a hard time not laughing when I see my boy on the door.

I am looking into cat trees, but I am afraid of buying one too big. I am moving to (hopefully) Ohio at the end of next year and have no clue what size apartment I am going to have. So, I don't want to buy a big one that will eventually not fit in a new apartment, but I also don't want to buy one that is too small and not very much fun.
