I'm using three different kinds of litter to test which one my cats prefer and they unanimously agree on clumping clay litter. They also unanimously prefer open litter boxes to hooded ones. I've found litter liners pretty useless as they get scratched into pieces.

How many litter boxes do you have? With two cats, you probably should have at least three. If you only have one, they might be going outside of the box to let you know they need more.

Well, I'd been using clumping litter for my 2 DSH kitties, but I just bought my first bag of World's Best on the advice of the breeder I adopted my first bengal from. So far (it's only been a few days) I LOVE it!! My bengal Lona was already used to it, but my other 2 took to it w/ no problem - in fact, they're using her litter box more than their own!! (I have a total of 3 boxes). Yes, it's expensive, but thus far I think worth it. That's my 2 cents worth, anyway!

I'm so glad that our breeders use chick crumb, it's going to save us a fortune!!
