I have to second every thing HotLavaJava said, we have a 7 month old girl Rizzo and last sunday we bought a 13 week old male kitten Troy,

After some spitting and growling they are grooming each other and lying together with their arms around each other so cute! it only took a couple of days as well,
They chase each other all round the house ,have wrestling matches when they are in bengal mode and sleep together as well, they still like our company though and we all play together but Rizzo no longer crys like she used to which is good, she seems a lot more content and Troy gives as good as he gets for a kitten. so go for it
