It's spamdexing or whatever you want to call it. Here is how it works:

- post something on the net with a link to your website
- next time Google or other search engine bots crawl the page they will find the link and follow it, thus boosting the search engine ranking of your page

The reason that this type of spam exist is because of the way page ranking works in Google. The more independent pages on the web link to your page, the higher your ranking with the search engines. It doesn't matter whether people will click the link or not. As long as it is there and visible for search bots, the spammer gets a benefit from it.

Hallmarks of this type of spam: The content is often pirated from someplace else on the web and somewhat targeted to the audience to make it less likely to get deleted, and the exact same post appears in many forums all over the web. That seems to be true for this one as well.
