Oakley loves prawns and i just keep a tub in the freezer and then defrost a couple in boiling water when he wants them. He also freaks for Catnip and will search it out from whatever hiding place i find! Aside from these, he just 'loves' chicken and white fish fillets. _________________ Jo (me) and Oakley

the best cat treat i've found is braising steak. just ask at the meat counter for 50p worth of steak (yes, they will look at you a bit wierd!)
My two go mad for it and it is really healthy to.
The other thing i get is small packet of supermarket own ham (usually about 70p) That lasts me for a week and again the cats love it.
It definatly works out cheaper than proper cat treats and i find my two actually prefer it more..... |

Go to an Asian market and buy dehydrated cuttlefish/squid and dehydrated pork stuff. They'll either be found in the treats/candy section or just randomly placed... you really can't miss it since these usually sell in high quantities and are meant as human food.
You can basically bribe your cat (I mean train him) to do anything with these treats... they go bonkers over them. _________________

Oh, I can imagine that cats would go nuts for that stuff! I was working with a Korean girl for a while and she would eat the dried squid like other people do potato chips or chocolate candy. They stink so badly and are extremely fishy tasting - I nearly had to gag when I tried one. I think I'll stick with chocolate myself, but I'm sure the cats would love them very much. _________________

Well, my cats have discovered a new favorite treat... canned sardines! But nothing beats freeze-dried mouse or chicken. _________________

Oakley can't eat beef as it makes him really sick. We just stick to chicken and fish, but he loves those and we look for variety with haddock, cod, salmon, trout, prawns, crab, etc. We gave him and Jessie a whole salmon for Christmas dinner; half in the morning raw, then the other half poached lightly in the afternoon. They ate the lot and were almost comatose for the rest of the day! _________________ Jo (me) and Oakley
