katlover,

I just experienced the same thing with Stella about 2 weeks ago. It was horrific! Stella was vomiting and was not eating at all. Her vomit was also food at first and then became foamy. She also began to have diahrrea which looked and smelled much like her vomit. We took her to the vet and she was very dehydrated so we ended up hospitalizing her for 2 nights. The vet put her on an IV to bring her fluids back up and treated her with IV antibiotics. She was later sent home with clavamox, which we gave to her for 10 days. Now she is back to her old self again, but she doesn't have as big of an appettite as she used to. I think her tummy must have shrunk a bit.

If your cat is not eating and/or has diahrrea. If so, I would recommend that you take her in immediately. She may have stopped vomiting just because she has nothing to vomit. Good luck. Keep us updated on how she is doing. I hope your cat isn't as sick as Stella was.
