My kitten went in for his 2ed set of shots today (12 weeks old). He had a bad reaction to his last shots. He had really bad ear mites (from the breeder  ) And he was also dewormed. After his shots he went to sleep for a few hours and then ate, played, and went to sleep. Around midnight he was walking around like he was drunk and he was falling flat on his face. I was soo worried. He was trying to eat but he wouldn't drink. I looked in the phone book and on the internet for a 24 hour vet in my area, and had no luck. I had to wait it out until my vet opened. I was there when he opened, and he gave him a shot of vitamins and electrolyes. He was fine later that day. Well, back to today..... He went in today for his 2ed shots. So far so good. But he is sleeping.... ALOT... Could this be another bad reaction starting? Or is it a normal thing for them to be tired after this?

Hi Rhiannon,

yes it is completely normal for them to be tired after being vaccinated. Kepp an eye on him like you did before, he shouldn't be wobbly on his feet so any signs of real illness I'd rush him back to your vet.

Sleeping is normal
