Hi, I am new to the site but in short i have 2 bengals an F4 boy of 2.5 and a sbt girl of 2 before and for a while after Merry was neutered she kept trying to mount Pip and was quite agressive and almost pinning him to the ground and biting and hissing. She had had a litter and was brill with both Pip and the kits to the extent that Pip was with them constantly from 2 days old and an absolutley top class adoptive dad, which apparently is unique. Since Xmas Pip has periodically vomitted as though he had hair balls, he started to loose weight but then put it back on. however in the last 4 weeks he has gone off his food, and the weight is dropping off him. In all other ways he is the same lovely cat. The only things we can get him to eat are treats that are hard to resist, ie cooked meats, tuna boiled cod and prawns. The vet has given him a clean bill off health but has eluded that it may be because Merry stresses him, she is besotted with him but just harrasses him so much. We have tried keeping them apart for some time in the day but they both howl the house down to be together.
The vet has given Pip some vit B to kick start his appetite and some antibiotics just in case. and today he has eaten some rice and tuna.
Does anybody have any ideas, its as though he doesn't feel hungry anymore, I wondered if it was a blockage but the vet says his tummy feels nice and relaxed and without pain.
