We bought some catnip toys yesterday and put them in our cats bed and went to bed. The cat was active (not Sadie) before we went to bed, but when we came down, instead of running upto us buzzing away he was "stunned". He slept in the basket all night with the catnip!

Right now he is shaking like a man who has gone 'cold turkey'!
He isnt his normal, Siamese self!

Can cats OD on catnip?!

In view of Sadie also being unwell I would take him today to get a check up at the vet. I know it is Sunday but you could possibly meet them at the vets to avoid a call out fee, if you are concerned re the fee.
That is what I would do rather than wait till tomorrow. Better safe than sorry.

The shaking could be a fever and the "stunned" attitude may be just because he is very unwell.

Samsung is fine now - 100% back to his normal self! I think he really DID OD on Catnip. If it wasnt that, it might be that we put a Bob Martin flea collar on him yesterday - maybe he was allergic to it?
They were the only changes made to him, and once we removed them he was fine again!

Glad to hear it. I am not a fan of those flea collars.
I've never heard of a problem with cat nip before.

I am still waiting on the vet to call me back. He has the results and was meant to call me between 3pm and 4pm. I called them and was told it would be around 4pm now - but still no call.
It's really annoying me, as they won't call me when they are in surgery and they won't call me when in consultations so I have to catch them between sessions!
