Sad news of the death of our beautiful boy Sierragold Firest

It is with sadness in our hearts that we have to let everyone know about the terrible loss of our new stud boy Sierragold Firestorm.

At only 15 months old, Stormy had struggled for some time with a serious condition - Inflamatory Bowel Disease.

Unfortunately the severity of the condition had caught hold of him and after a final diagnostic gut biopsy, his body had been through too much to pull through.

We and our wonderful vets battled for 12 days to try to save him, including a life saving blood transfusion from our amazing boy Krug (Forestgems Premier Krug), but still he lost his fight for life.

Myself and Polly at Forestgems and our great friend (and co-owner of Stormy), Tracey Learoyd of Blissnmore Bengals miss him and wish him peace and a fun filled Christmas (wherever he is) shared with all the babies some of us have suffered the heartache to have lost!!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has already sent emails of support and phoned us with their kind words - it has meant the world!!

Truly sad that Stormy has passed away :cry:

He couldn't have been in a better home than yours for loves and cuddles.

Am so sorry to hear about Stormy's struggle and your loss. He was a beautiful boy - just having been lucky enough to meet him at his first show here I know he'd have won big places in your hearts. He would have known he was much loved in the short time he was with you and that you did all you could for him xx
